for example; for instance; as a case in point; in the case of ;as an illustration; such as; like; that is; say ; as a matter of fact

As a matter of fact, throughout history people of many different cultures have regarded love as the most sublime of human emotions.

For instance when someone is starving to death, just a little food and water from you may save his life.

similarly; likewise; in the same manner; the same... as; like; both; equally important

on the contrary; on the other hand; by contrast; unlike; whereas; rather than; conversely; instead; the opposite is true

Indicated above is a picture that vividly describes a fresh flower in a warm and comfortable room. On the contrary, when removed outside the room, it is destroyed in the violent wind and rain.

first...second; in the first place..in the second place; next; also; besides; furthermore; moreover; in addition; what is more; for one thing...for another; not only...but also

On the one hand, no doubt, people will gain a lot by setting new goals in their daily life. Take the famous scientist Thomas Edison for example. He had done very well in his early life, but continued to pursue something more difficult all through his life. On the other hand, if one is obsessed with the success he has achieved, he would lose the chance to pursue new success.

Furthermore, whatever difficulty or situation we are confront with, those who have the spirit of cooperation and team work are nearer to success.

in conclusion; in short; on the whole; finally; lastly; to sum up; to conclude; in any event

To sum up, one’s view on his success determines his future.

On the whole, I believe we young people should face the difficulties in right manner. And nothing is impossible, just do it.

All in all, by cooperation among each other, we will be able to explore a wider world and reach further horizon.
